Lexington, SC - Cedar Falls, Iowa native Jill George has signed a letter of intent with ARCA RE/MAX Series powerhouse team, Venturini Motorsports. Jill is currently working to secure sponsorship, which would allow her to run for the famed team sometime throughout the 2009-2010 ARCA schedule. Jill has decided to try and move her way up to the competitive ranks of the ARCA RE/MAX Series tour after a successful foray in dirt late models.
Since first getting behind the wheel of a racecar on dirt in 2004 for Hartzell Racing, Jill has found that same competitive drive she enjoyed in college athletics. In most cases she has also been the only female behind the wheel at the events and tracks she races at. In a few short years Jill has found herself quickly moving up the ranks. In 2007 Jill was selected out of 200 applicants to participate in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program, and in 2008 she competed in a limited number of ASA pavement late model events.
Venturini Motorsports, often referred to as the ARCA RE/MAX Series top team, has competed in the series for over 26 years. In that time they have amassed rookie of the year, two championships, 15 wins, 15 poles, 104 top fives and 199 top tens. Today Bill and son Billy have gotten out of the seat and now concentrate on producing a top-caliber driver development program for top NASCAR Series teams.
