Ryan Heavner has seen his share of ups and downs this season in his USAR Pro Cup Series rookie season. He's had mechanical failure before the green at Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway and finished inside the top-ten at Rockingham (NC) Speedway and Gresham Motorsports (GA) Park.

Last weekend at Iowa Speedway, however, Heavner showed race fans that he is 110% serious about winning, and just as focused on that goal.
Jill George to Test Nationwide Car for Roush-Fenway Racing

Jill George, racing out of Cedar Falls, Iowa, has been invited by Roush-Fenway Racing to test a Nationwide car at Rockingham on July 27 and 28.  This test and tryout was by invitation only and Jill is one of seven drivers invited to this event.  George, primarily a dirt late model racer, currently stands 14th in points in the World of Outlaws Dirt Late Model series points standings.  She will go from Rockingham directly to Sharon, PA, to pick up the WoO tour that runs in Ohio and Pennsylvania the remainder of the week.

Lincolnton, North Carolina's Ryan Heavner made his first trip to Motor Mile (VA) Speedway over the weekend. He was there for the running of The USAR Pro Cup Series Heritage Truck Centers 250.

"After testing on Thursday, I felt so good about my car, and was really positive going into the race knowing I was gonna have a good finish," said Heavner. "The team worked so hard to give me the car I needed. I just came up short of being able to deliver what I felt was for sure a top-five finish. When I would hit my marks, this car did just what I wanted it to."

Jill George just might be one of the busiest women on Earth. She's a wife and mother, licensed chiropractor, a collegiate women's basketball referee, a dirt Late Model driver, and an aspiring and experienced ARCA Series presented by Re/Max / Menards driver.
 
 It was her duties as a basketball official that brought her into harm's way recently. George was scheduled to complete an officiating camp in Denver, Colorado. This year marked her third trip to the camp.
