Brandon Lemke began racing in 2009 at the age of 9 at the Badger Kart Club in Dousman, WI. In his first year of racing, Brandon won the Championship for Yamaha Junior Sportsman Rookie Novice, and set the track record for fastest time in his class. He was also named the Badger Kart Club Junior Summer Series Champion, and Rookie of the Year.
In 2010, Brandon expanded his racing to the regional scene, winning 2 regional races – in the rain. He ended the year with a 3rd place overall finish in the KPP Sportsman Heavy and 5th place overall in KPP Sportsman Lite classes (Midwest Sprint Series). He also held the season fast time at Badger in the Yamaha Junior Sportsman class, and set another track record in the KPP Sportsman class.
In 2011, Brandon took 1st place in a total of 19 local and regional races and finished 2nd in 13 local, regional and national events (40 overall Top 5 finishes for the season). He won the Route 66 Regional Champion KPP Sportsman Class, and was named Badger Kart Club’s National Sprint Driver of the Year…..and set yet another track record at Badger in the KPP Sportsman Class.
Brandon continued to add to his impressive list of winnings in 2012: WKA National Champion in Yamaha Sportsman, Winner of the Dan Wheldon Robopong event at Newcastle, 3rd place finish in the highly acclaimed SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas (his first time ever there), and 5 separate Regional Championships.
With 2013 being his last season as a Sportsman driver, it promised to be a bittersweet one for Brandon, as he set his sights on bettering his successes from the previous year’s season. His goal was to join the ranks of the sport’s best drivers and become a multiple National Champion title holder. He did just that by claiming FOUR titles – one of only 2 drivers in the history of WKA to ever do so.
Brandon is already off to an exciting start with an impressive showing at the WKA Man Cup event in Daytona. Brandon placed in the top 3 in three races, including a 1st place win in the competitive Yamaha Sportsman 1 class.
Brandon Lemke posted his best career Late Model finish in Saturday’s Southeast Limited Late Model Series Challenger race at Myrtle Beach Speedway.
Lemke qualified eighth for the race on Friday. The Eagle, Wisconsin teenager methodically raced his way up to the lead and challenged for the win, but ultimately settled for a second-place finish.read more
