Kade Brown started racing Go Karts at the age of 5. Having grown through several PowerWheels, he was ready to move up. Two sessions in a local parking lot later, Kade said he was ready to go to the track.

After winning the Gulf Coast Karters Kid Kart Track Championship in his first two years, Kade was asked if he wanted to keep racing at his home track and try to get a third Championship or go to other tracks and race different drivers. At 7 years old, Kade said he wanted to go to other tracks and get better. He did and went on to set Kid Kart track records at Dallas Karting Complex and Heart of Texas Kart Club. In his last year in a Kid Kart, Kade qualified and placed 2nd at the Kid Kart Nationals and was Kartrank.com’s #1 ranked Kid Kart driver in 2014.

Kade moved to Bandoleros in 2015 and found he likes the challenges of circle track racing. 2016 and 2017 were great years, winning the Texas Motor speedway track Championship, Summer Stampede, Battle at The Big Top 5-race series (twice), placing 5th overall in the Bojangles Summer Shootout 10-race series in Charlotte, NC, finishing 3rd at the Bandolero Nationals in Bethel, NY and finishing 9th overall in National Points. Kade also found time to work in a couple of races in his Micro Sprint dirt car.

As he did when he was 7, Kade wanted to get better. He said the only way to do that was to race with the best and he asked to race The Bojangles Summer Shootout in Charlotte last summer. We were fortunate to find Kendall Sellars and AK Performance to maintain his car in Charlotte and mentor Kade. Kendall is a past Bandolero National Champion and they have formed a great connection. Before signing on with AK Performance, Kade talked to a driver Kendall had worked with. When asked if he thought it would work, Kade said Kendall was tough, but he would make him better and was ready to go.

Kade’s desire to get better comes from within him. Since he started raced, he has never told to win a race or beat another driver. The only words from Dad were to “be smart and make good decisions”.

2018 has started out well with Kade finished 3rd overall at the INEX Winter Nationals at Citrus County Speedway. Next up is the Battle at The Bigtop at Texas Motor Speedway.
