Hailing from the Lone Star State, Ryan Lync started his racing career at the age of 8 in go-karts. During the first seven years of his career he would rack up seven local karting championships and a podium finish in the 2004 IKF Road Race Grand Nationals. He would continue karting and advanced into IMCA Limited Modified racing in east Texas while working on his college degree.
In 2008, after settling into his new career as a software developer, Ryan would spend any spare time focusing on the pursuit of a dream in stock car racing. From 2009 until now, his racing journey has taken him to many tracks across the United States, where he has had the opportunity to work with notable teams and crew chiefs while enjoying some exciting finishes and spending time with fans of the sport.
After a third-place finish in the U.S. Legends Series Texas Motor Speedway Summer Stampede in 2009, Ryan competed with the United States Super Truck Series in 2010. With a combination of short tracks and super speedways, he would gain valuable track experience and finish fifth in overall points. Since then, some of Ryan’s top achievements include obtaining his Master ARCA license at Daytona International Speedway, finishing 13th in his ARCA debut in Salem, Ind., and placing 16th in his first televised race with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East at South Boston Speedway in Virginia. In 2012, Ryan continued to hit the track with United States Super Trucks and the ARCA Midwest Tour, all while preparing for his debut in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series.
Ryan made his Truck Series debut in 2012 at Iowa Speedway and would make a further five starts between 2012 and 2016, including three at his home track, Texas Motor Speedway. He earned his career-best finish of 22nd in 2014 during a start at Texas Motor Speedway.
