Zack Mitchell joins Coltman Farms Racing
MAYSVILLE, Ga. (Aug. 13, 2024) – Coltman Farms Racing officials are excited to announce the addition of Southeastern dirt Super Late Model competitor Zack Mitchell to the team.
Mitchell, from Enoree, South Carolina, will join the team immediately as a full-time employee with plans to race extensively regionally and nationally.
“We’ve been watching Zack for quite some time now,” said Coltman Farms Racing owner Brett Coltman. “He is a professional on and off the race track and embodies exactly what we want in our champion drivers. We are happy to provide him with the opportunity to race full-time and welcome him into the Coltman Farms Racing family.”
Mitchell is arguably one of the best dirt Super Late Model competitors in the Southeast. The 28-year-old competitor is a four-time champion of the Ultimate Southeast Series and captured the 2017 Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series championship.
In addition to his regional success, Mitchell has also enjoyed success with the national World of Outlaws Late Model Series. During the 2020 season, Mitchell earned his first World of Outlaws triumph with a flag-to-flag victory at Tennessee’s Volunteer Speedway.
This season Mitchell has been a regular with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series, where he scored a $20,000 victory during the Rock Gault Memorial at South Carolina’s Cherokee Speedway. He also banked a $5,000 Carolina Clash victory at Georgia’s Lavonia Speedway and a $7,500 triumph with the Ultimate Super Late Model Series at Cherokee.
“I’m honored to become the newest driver for Coltman Farms Racing,” Mitchell said. “What Brett has done for the dirt late model community and for his own local community has been incredible and I’m excited to add to that legacy. I’m ready to hit the ground running and go chase some victories with this team.”
Mitchell joins Coltman Farms Racing just as the team is hitting its stride following the addition English to the team. English has already earned three major victories for Coltman Farms Racing, including two DIRTcar Summer Nationals victories and a $20,000 win in the Deep Fried 75 at Tennessee’s Duck River Raceway Park.
Mitchell will begin his tenure at Coltman Farms Racing on Aug. 17 when the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series visits Georgia’s Senoia Speedway.
In addition to contesting the remainder of the Hunt the Front schedule, Mitchell will also join English when Coltman Farms Racing travels to Ohio’s Eldora Speedway for the running of the 54th running of the World 100 on Sept. 5-7.
